A Gift to the God of Speed (Part 1)

'A Gift to the God of Speed' is an exploration of the dangers and passion of motorbike racing. The title comes from the phrase 'Offerings to the God of Speed' which Burt Munro had written across shelves in his garage that held blown up engine parts, trophies and other memorabilia. These images are of blown up engine pieces that have been pushed to their limits, sacrificed to the riders 'God' in the name of speed. Now these pieces are memorialised in trophy cabinets as shrines creating beautiful pieces of metalic art.
